The 2026/2027 CWFLL season got underway Saturday, September 19th. At Cunnings Field in Coquitlam, defending provincial champion Ladner Pioneers knocked off the Tri-City Eclipse 15-2 while the UBC Thunderbirds edged the North Shore Indians 9-8. At Yorkson Community Park in Langley, the New Westminster Warlocks eked out a 10-9 win over the Langley Thunder and the Abbotsford Attack defeated the Delta Footmen 18-4.
There are no games Saturday, September 26th for the Truth & Reconciliation Day long weekend.
The season resumes the following Saturday with a full state of games: at Cunnings Field, the Warlocks and Footmen hook up at 6:00pm, the Hunters open their season against the Pioneers in a provincial gold medal match-up at 7:30pm, and the Attack face the Thunderbirds at 9:00pm. At Yorkson Community Park, the expansion Maple Ridge Beerrards open their season agianst the Thunder at 7:00pm, while the Indians and Eclipse connect at 8:30pm.
